The photography courses Cassia excelled in were not as good training as the experience, practice, and vigorous pursuit. Her major in college was the study of people: emotions, and relationships -- a.k.a Counseling. Her books taught her how people operate, and her eyes, heart, and hands worked with them and for them, and captured their deep beauty. She paid her way through college doing apprenticeships in wedding photography and was asked to lead her own and first solo wedding in 2007.
In 2014 the Central Coast wine country captured her imagination and heart and everything seemed to flow like good wine on a cool summer evening from there. She roams in Santa Barbara, Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo, Italy... and the like.

In 2017 Cassia Karin Photography opened up the doors to "Cassia Karin Photographers" . . . Literally. One or two at a time, Cassia brought photographers into her home to live, work, study, and become each a unique but qualified Cassia Karin Photographer. She taught them to see what she sees, shoot how she shoots, care for people the way she does, and perform a wedding day with professionalism, timeliness, and ease. Many of the photos seen online are a conglomerate of the team's work since 2017.

During and after the engagement shoot, Jon and I connected with Cassia and her husband, Tommy, on a completely different level. We quickly realized that we wouldn’t be able to find someone with the amazing talent and energy that Cassia possessed. She traveled 2,500 miles just to shoot our wedding! Cassia guided and directed the wedding party to capture the best moments. Cassia puts her whole heart into everything she does, which truly shows in her work and photos. We absolutely LOVED our wedding photos by Cassia! When we received our wedding photos, we were shocked to see how many intimate moments she was able to capture without us even knowing she was there. She did an excellent job of telling our wedding story. Cassia is also very pleasant to be around, my husband and I never felt stressed out by her presence, which was a concern of ours when picking a photographer.
